1.
It was always a little lower - a little under your breath Cause you don’t see all the different angles and different angels they test So you give up cause there are all these different pieces And it’d take you an infinite time in an infinite sequence It carries us, it guides us to earth It was always a little further - a little out of your reach Cause when they told you, well now it’s your son and your daughter that sees All these different shapes and different colors And there's an infinite space between you and them When you run away from here, let your little self not fear You will be in our hearts, If you're a long way out, you're never alone
2.
He had his whole life in front of him. but he couldn't sleep, no, he couldn't sleep So she had this dream of a canopy - it was a cosmical scene, and that was all that he'd need She told everyone of the things that she had done; How she had saved his life! Left him all alone, so he got on the phone And started telling everybody! And he said... He had this weird way of telling it - it was a colorful lie, but that was what they all liked! So she had to clear up a little bit, so parts of it changed, but still all of it strange! She took him to the place spinning out in space - It was beauty, it was heartache He couldn't see the ground, so he started flipping out And now he's telling everybody! She's all that he needs, and it's right there in front of him!
3.
When you're a bird you can fly over highways When you come down, they will be gone... They all ran as fast as they could You are a bird, over ten thousand lifetimes But only one time, I'll spin you around Under the lights as the orchestra plays And I wait in the shivering night - Somewhere a voice spoke inside! And you climb through the window outside, And you told me to search for you there in the Mystery Among these thieves, you do not belong Beneath the twilight, you are floating on And I will lose contact, then I will lose balance And they will just watch me fall When you're a bird, you can see through the future There is a field that looks like the sea And we're in a boat on a fiery breeze I said "When you're a bird, you will see others like you." You said, "If that is true, someday I'll return." But the wind picked up and I couldn't hear you...
